I have a new painting on exhibition in by far the weirdest context of my career thus far. Pilsen’s Antena Project Space is holding and exhibition/event called Short Court: Tropical Aesthletics and it is, well, this:

Composite Arts Magazine

Composite Arts Magazine just released their sixth issue, Process, and I’ve got some new writing included in it. I was asked to write about collage in relation to my paintings and drawings and I ended up producing a short, ranging text called The Endlessness of Images. There are numerous fascinating written and visual contributions to the magazine from ten other artists.

Family Room at Auction, Again.

The above painting, Family Room, was up for silent auction recently at an event to benefit the Hyde Park Art Center. It was not bid on, and the painting was returned to me. It feels strange to have the piece back in my possession. So I decided to auction it again, myself, via Facebook.

The auction is currently on and the initial bid is set for $50. To bid, visit the Adam Grossi Studio Facebook Page and write your bid as a comment on the wall post that reads, “Place your bid on Family Room here.” You must increase the bid by at least $10. Bidding ends at 12pm CST this Friday, December 16th.

Exactly half of the proceeds from the winning bid will be donated to the Hyde Park Art Center. The winning bidder can decide whether or not they’d like to pitch in for shipping, if applicable.
